The Regulus DBV2 ¾" double thermal relief valve is a specially designed solution for protecting central heating systems. This safety valve ensures efficient temperature regulation by automatically diverting hot water and replacing it with fresh water in case of overheating. With its robust brass housing and precisely controlled thermostatic elements, the relief valve is designed for continuous operation.

How does the double thermal safety valve work?

The innovative design of the Regulus DBV2 ¾” reliably protects the heating system from overheating. As soon as the temperature reaches a defined limit of 97 °C ±2 °C, the drain valve opens and releases hot water from the heat source. Simultaneously, the fill valve ensures the supply of cold water, thus quickly cooling the system.

This process occurs automatically, controlled by two thermostatic elements inside the valve. These close as soon as the water temperature has been reduced to a safe level, thus ensuring a continuously regulated heat supply without interruptions.

For which application area is the Regulus DBV2 ¾” suitable?

The double thermal relief valve is ideal for central heating systems where there is a risk of overheating. Thanks to a maximum boiler output of up to 220 kW (when using both elements), the valve is suitable for both residential and industrial heating systems. Its versatility is ensured by a high maximum temperature of 110 °C and a pressure resistance of up to 6 bar on the water side.

Installation tips for maximum security

If the pressure in the supply network exceeds 6 bar, it is essential to install an additional pressure reducer at the cooling water inlet. This prevents overloading of the system and increases the lifespan of the heating system.

Furthermore, it is recommended to adjust the pressure of the reducing valve accordingly – ideally to twice the required heating pressure, but at least to 2 bar. This ensures the safe operation of both the heating system and the thermal relief valve.
