Fireclay Attack SLX

The firebrick is an original spare part for the Attack wood gasifier, for the lower combustion chamber on the right side.

This fireclay brick is for the SLX series wood gasifiers 20, 25, 30 and 35 kW.

The use of genuine firebricks ensures optimal gasification and thus the highest possible energy yield. Furthermore, they achieve excellent emissions values ​​and protect the boiler body from damage.

• What is fireclay? Fireclay does not occur naturally. It was developed by humans to create a stable material for furnace construction. Pure fired clay is prone to expansion and contraction, which can quickly lead to cracking. Fireclay is made from alumina and aluminum oxide, the latter being the oxygen compound of the element aluminum. After production, the resulting fireclay is pulverized into various grain sizes and then mixed with new raw clay. This process creates firebricks. They are known for their reliable dimensional stability and are fireproof up to approximately 1,500 degrees Celsius. Their aluminum oxide content is crucial for their quality. High-quality firebricks have an oxide content between 30 and 45 percent.
