The MDC 230 Bundle TEHP25 combines an MDC 230 heating module with a matching TEHP25 electric immersion heater for supplementary electric heat in the heating circuit of a central heating system. The bundle is intended for heating water and can be used in appropriately planned open or closed central heating systems.
The MDC module handles the hydraulic integration into the heating circuit, while the TEHP25 immersion heater provides the electric heat output. This makes the bundle suitable for applications where additional electric heat input into the heating circuit is required.
Technology & Equipment
The MDC 230 module is designed as an electric heating module or flow heater for central heating systems. It features a steel tank, 50 mm polyurethane foam insulation, a heating circuit connection with 1 1/4" female thread, and a heating cartridge connection with 1 1/2" female thread.
The TEHP25 immersion heater is a screw-in heating element with 2.5 kW output at 230 V. It features a 1 1/2" connection thread, a temperature controller, a safety temperature limiter, an integrated indicator light, IP54 protection rating, and a sheath material of Incoloy 825.

System Integration & Compatibility
The MDC 230 module is integrated into the parallel heating circuit on the flow or return line of the main heat source. The medium is water or a suitable glycol mixture up to a maximum concentration of 50%.
For operation, proper hydraulic integration, an adequate minimum flow rate, an additional circulation pump, and a safety valve with an opening pressure of 1.0 MPa must be considered. The electrical connection of the TEHP25 immersion heater may only be carried out by qualified electricians.

Installation
The MDC module is hydraulically integrated into the parallel heating circuit. Before installation, the connection sizes, installation position, sealing surfaces, safety valve, circulation pump, electrical connection, and the existing system hydraulics must be checked by a qualified professional.
The electrical connection of the TEHP25 immersion heater must only be carried out by an approved electrician. Before switching on the power, the heating module and the system must be completely filled with water and vented.
Notes
Operation without water is not permitted. During operation, the immersion heater and the sensor protection tube must be sufficiently surrounded by water. Dry running, unsuitable media, incorrect voltage, or operation outside the technical limits can cause damage.
The additional circulation pump must ensure the required flow rate. The product specifications do not replace proper system planning, heat load assessment, electrical sizing, or on-site inspection of the installation situation.
